Marissa Greenberg, Ph.D
Biography
Dr. Greenberg is Associate Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature. Recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and UNM’s Research Allocation Committee, Dr. Greenberg is an internationally recognized scholar in early modern English literature with an extensive record of publications. She is also an award-winning teacher and an emerging leader in social justice teaching and learning. Her current research focuses on literary depictions of bodies in motion and on inclusive pedagogies in the literature classroom, including collaborative and independent projects on embodied movement in the writings of John Milton and on identity-based pedagogies with particular attention to online instruction. As a faculty fellow with DEI, Dr. Greenberg will establish a community of practice to strengthen UNM’s infrastructure for addressing the stigmatization of faculty who have disabilities.
