Janice Devereaux (She | Ella) is a Trans Chicana-Indigenous woman from the Isleta Pueblo. She grew up both on the Isleta reservation and in the South Valley of Albuquerque, NM. Janice was crucial in the beginnings of the first Trans peer support group in Albuquerque, which led to the formation of the Transgender Resource Center. Janice has served on the boards of the Peace and Justice Center, Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico, Equality New Mexico, PFLAG, and is currently on the board of the Bernalillo County Library System. Janice is the admin II of the LGBTQ Resource Center.
